Evol ("Evol", "we", "us") is an AI buddy app for people in the United Arab Emirates, run by Biplove Neupane. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. You can reach us any time at evolmedia.ceo@gmail.com.
1. What we collect

If you allow it, Evol can also use your location (to help with local suggestions), your calendar (to read or add events you ask for), your microphone (for voice messages), your camera and photos (to share a picture with your buddy) and notifications. Each permission is optional and you can change it in your phone's settings at any time.
We do not show ads, we do not sell your data, and the app does not contain advertising or third-party analytics tools.
2. AI-generated content
Replies and pictures in Evol are created by artificial intelligence. They can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable, so please do not treat them as professional advice. To produce a reply or a picture, the words (and any photo or file you attach) are sent securely from our server to Google's AI services. We ask the AI to stay friendly and safe, but you can report any picture you find offensive with the flag button under it.
3. Who we share data with
We share data only with companies that help us run Evol, and only what they need:
- Supabase - hosting, database, sign-in and file storage.
- Twilio - sending the SMS verification code to your phone number.
- Google (Gemini) - writing replies, understanding photos and voice, and creating pictures.
- ElevenLabs - the voice that reads replies aloud (it receives the text to be spoken).
Information you choose to make public (for example a business profile or post) can be seen by other people using Evol. We may also share information when the law requires it or to protect people from harm.
4. Where your data is kept
Your data is stored on secure servers of our providers, which may be outside the UAE. Chats and the pictures you create are kept on your phone. We use encryption in transit and access controls on our database, but no system is perfectly secure.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and the data linked to it from our servers (see section 6). Records of reported content may be kept briefly for safety review before they are removed.
6. Your choices and rights
- Delete your account and data: in the app, open Settings and tap Delete my account. You can also ask us by email (see the deletion page).
- Turn off memory and delete what your buddy remembers, in Settings.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to stop using it, by emailing evolmedia.ceo@gmail.com. We will answer within 30 days.
- Change permissions (location, camera, microphone, calendar, notifications) in your phone's settings.
We handle personal data in line with the laws that apply in the United Arab Emirates, including the Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
7. Children
Evol is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
8. Changes
If we change this policy in an important way, we will tell you in the app. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
